Caring For Your Aquarite T Cell 15 Salt Cell From Hayward

!±8± Caring For Your Aquarite T Cell 15 Salt Cell From Hayward

Today I am going to talk about caring for your Aquarite salt cell (specifically the T Cell 15). First off, if you know your salt cell is dead and needs to be replaced, the best price on the Internet is from Amazon. They have the best price, best shipping options, and the best return policy if something goes wrong. That being said, what I am going to discuss here in this article will extend the life of your T Cell 15 well beyond what most pool owners will experience. By preforming just a little bit of preventative maintenance, you will save yourself a lot of money and aggravation in the long run. Let's get started...

The secret to keeping your T Cell 15 running trouble free and at maximum efficiency is to clean the cell every few months. Depending on how hard your water is, you may get away with cleaning the cell a little less often, but I would always make sure you clean the salt cell no less than three times per year - about once every four months. Conversely, if you have harder water, you may need to clean the cell more often. For example, I have very hard water where I live and need to clean my T-Cell 15 about every two months. Don't worry about buying an expensive test kit to test your water hardness. You just need to keep an eye on how much calcium gets built up each time you clean your cell. My recommendation is to start with a three month schedule and adjust as needed.

The first step is to remove the cell from your pool equipment. Start by making sure your pool equipment is off and in service mode so it will not come on while you are working on it. Open the Hayward Goldline control unit (usually a white box hanging on the wall). This is where your salt cell plugs in to. Again, make sure the power has been turned off to the control unit, and then unplug the big white plug on the bottom of the control unit. Now you want to remove the salt cell from the plumbing. All you have to do is unscrew the large hand-tight fittings on both sides of the TCell 15. Some water will come out as you remove the salt cell, but don't worry, it's normal.

Once you have the salt cell removed, take it to a work area where you can use muriatic acid without worrying too much about what you are going to destroy. I personally like to work on the steps of my pool since whatever I spill will go to good use reducing my Ph Levels. Take a look inside the cell. All the white flaky buildup on the inside is what we want to remove. The easiest way to perform the next step is to use the T Cell 15 cleaning stand. I cannot stress enough how easy this stand makes the job.

The T Cell 15 should be cleaned vertically - standing straight up and down. The stand should be screwed onto the end with the power cord (more on why later). Once you have the salt cell standing on end, you will pour 1/3 acid and 2/3 water into the cell - all the way to the top. Be very careful not to get acid on your skin and wear eye protection just in case it splashes out as you are adding it. Now, it does not have to be mixed exactly one-third acid to two-thirds water, but this is a good rule of thumb. It's enough acid to get the job done, and not too much that it will start eating the plastic and inner components. You will see acid fumes and bubbles coming out the top of the salt cell which is normal and shows that the cleaning is underway. You will want to let the process continue for at least 30 minutes and sometimes longer. Once the bubbles have stopped, pour the contents out of the cell and back into the pool. Take a close look inside the cell to determine if all the calcium (all that white flaky material) is gone. If so, your cell is clean and ready to be reinstalled. If not, repeat the above steps until all the calcium is gone.

Cleaning the cell with the cord-side down has a huge benefit. Right next to where the cord comes into the unit, there is a salt sensor. This sensor is used by the system to determine how much salt is in your water. It's this sensor that you get your salt reading in the control unit. Keeping this sensor at the bottom during cleaning ensures that the sensor is getting as cleans as possible. Why is this important? Well, the T-Cell 15 will change its chlorine output based on the amount of salt in the water. In fact, if the cell determines the water has an insufficient amount of salt, it will turn the T Cell 15 off completely to prevent it from being damaged. Having just a small amount of calcium buildup on the sensor can cause a lot of problems for you and your pool. Cleaning with the sensor on the bottom will help make sure it's as clean as possible.

Once clean, install the TCell 15 the same way you removed it. Make sure the plastic fittings around the cell are hand tight and that no water is leaking out when you turn the system back on. You're done! With just a bit of extra care, your Hayward Goldline Aquarite T Cell 15 will last for years and years.

How to Build a Natural Pool

!±8± How to Build a Natural Pool

Although swimming pools are popular as well as common in the United States, we rarely see the uniquely designed natural pools that are popular in most countries of Europe. These natural swimming pools are a wonderful addition to your garden as it blends and complements well with your green and close-to-nature ambiance.

You would probably think that building a natural pool is complicated and should only be done by expert pool builders; however this can easily be accomplished if you have the right knowledge on how it's done. Aside from its simplicity in design, these types of pools are also inexpensive and much more affordable to make as compared to the conventional swimming pools which use too many materials that are too expensive for most individuals to afford. Imagine how much you can save from using water plants instead of purchasing a pool pump and a filtration system that uses a lot of electricity.

Deciding on where is the perfect location for your pool is essential if you want to have a presentable natural pool. Some dig theirs in their garden to make it look more natural although these will mean additional maintenance in case you have trees and shrubs surrounding your garden. However, these won't be a problem as you can always use your skimmer net to regularly take out fallen leaves or use a net beneath your trees.

Use your shovel to dig your natural pool to your desired size. Most builders start with a small swimming pool although building a larger one is more ideal as you'll have better working space. Sandy soil is much easier to dig as compared to clay soil which sticks on your shovel and gives additional weight to it. Make sure that you dig your pool in a sloping design as you wouldn't want the soil in your pool to cave in. This is the price you pay for not using any steel reinforcement which grabs hold of your pool's walls and holds them in their vertical position.

Make sure that your pool is designed to hold a place for your water plants to prevent them from scattering in your natural pool. You won't like the idea of avoiding floating plants while you are swimming. You can do this by making a barrier that blocks the water plants from going to your swimming area yet the water can freely access the water plants as well as your swimming place.

Seal the soil in order to hold the water in your pool by using sealing products such as bentonite clay which is the most commonly used due to the fact that it is cheaper than the other products. Make sure that you did compact the soil if you want to avoid any soil erosion. Using a layer of gravel is a must in order to maintain beneficial bacteria in your pool.

Fill your natural pool with clean water up to your desired water level. Make sure that you maintain a constant level and add water to your pool when needed.

Salt Water vs Ozone Pool: What to choose?

!±8± Salt Water vs Ozone Pool: What to choose?

If you're lucky, a residential pool should be aware that in order to have advantages and disadvantages, and provide support. One of the main concerns as owners of the pool and pool chemicals, water balance and reduce potentially harmful pollutants and pathogens. Proper pool sanitation results in water that is both visually appealing and minimizes the risk of disease and pollution.

The goal is to preserve the health and quality of your swimmingSwimming pool water, minimizing chemical

The dilemma is that the owner of the pool chemicals normally used to force the water can also cause serious problems germ-free, from simple whitening to create harmful byproducts such as chloramines. If we could, we all retain our water without chemicals, because no one wants their family to be exposed unnecessarily. The reality is, however, chemicals are still an important role to play in maintaining the pool of water and sanitation. The question is whetherSalt Chlorine Generators can keep drinking water, no adverse effects.

Salt water systems are a popular choice in recent years for their promises low maintenance and simplifies the management of water. Unfortunately, many are learning that these advantages came at a heavy price, and are not quite right.

Ozone is an up-and-coming residential swimming pool water disinfectant, it deserves attention. While less is known within the residential pool, ozone is veryoften at the spa (produced over 70% of all spas now have an ozone generator), water (bottled water companies rely on ozone), public swimming pools (ozone is recommended by CDC for public swimming pools), and many other applications.

Here are more details about each of these alternatives:

Swimming pool with salt water Systems:

The system salt water pool (salt chlorinator) is a popular alternative disinfectant for the pool to begin for several years but the owners swimming poolto see that it has significant disadvantages. To be clear, salt water pool systems are not a substitute for chlorine, chlorine actually produced, and all the chlorine is introduced by any method hypochlorous acid. The implication is that owners must have the bath water chemistry of the pool, as if they were to be kept with any other form of chlorine, with all the complexity involved.

Two other problems of corrosion and salt disposal problems. The disposal of the salt is not an easy task. But saltmust go somewhere and most are not your garden. Owners of systems of salt mentioned that caused considerable damage and repair costs due to corrosion caused by salt in their systems.

Ozone Pool System

A swimming pool ozonator is working hard to keep clean, clean water and reduce the load of chemicals from 60 to 90%. And since the ozone generator is the disinfection of the pool when the pump is running, it automatically provides wastewater services for peace of mind. Ozone is one of the most powerful natural antioxidants for water purificationand other substances, and in contrast to harsh chemicals or salt, ozone does not create harmful by-products, corrosion or disposal.

Swimming strength ozonizers dissolved ozone in water, immediately kill or neutralize a wider range of pollutants than any reasonable alternative. Because of the protective ozone layer of the atmosphere, ozone is oxidized by the ozone generator produces substances it comes into contact. This includes a wide range of organic chemicals andcan be oxidized, including bacteria, viruses, algae, oils, fluids, human, fungi, by-products of chlorine such as chloramines, and some metallic elements. Ozone oxidizes contaminants so fast that there is usually there in the pool of water, only a very short time, so that nothing behind it, but ordinary oxygen (O2).

Commercial ozone for the disinfection of swimming pool disinfectant in two of the secondary model aquatic health code is uniform guidelines for the pool of alternative remediation are included. This registration canauthority must also provide ozone over competing technologies are moving in both private and business customers.
